PTE

(Pearson Test of English) Academic is an English proficiency test used for study or migration purposes. It assesses the candidate’s speaking and writing, reading, and listening skills. PTE scores are typically valid for two years and are accepted by universities, colleges, and governments worldwide.

OET

(Occupational English Test) is designed specifically for healthcare professionals, including dentists, nurses, and doctors, to demonstrate their English proficiency. The test comprises sections on listening, reading, writing, and speaking, tailored to the healthcare context. OET scores are usually valid for two years and are widely recognized by healthcare institutions globally.

DHA

(Dubai Health Authority) Exam is a licensing requirement for healthcare professionals to practice in Dubai, UAE. It tests candidates’ knowledge and skills through a computer-based test (CBT). The exam result remains valid for five years, enabling successful candidates to seek employment opportunities in Dubai’s healthcare sector.

GRE

The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test commonly required for admission to graduate school programs, including Master’s and Ph.D. programs, across various disciplines. It assesses analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills. GRE scores are typically valid for five years, allowing applicants to use them for multiple application cycles.

PROMETRIC

The Prometric exam is a computer-based standardized test used by healthcare regulatory bodies to assess healthcare professionals’ knowledge and competency. It covers various topics relevant to the profession and includes multiple-choice questions, case studies, and scenario-based assessments. Passing this exam is often required for licensure or certification in healthcare, ensuring professionals meet the standards for safe and effective practice.

CRNE

The Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) was a standardized test by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) for nurses seeking registration in Canada. It covered nursing competencies like practice standards, theory, patient care, and ethics through multiple-choice and case-based questions. The exam aimed to assess nurses’ ability to apply nursing knowledge in clinical settings but was replaced by the NCLEX-RN in most provinces except Quebec.

USMLE

(United States Medical Licensing Examination) comprises a series of exams for medical licensure in the United States. The steps include Step 1, Step 2 CK (Clinical Knowledge), Step 2 CS (Clinical Skills), and Step 3. PLAB

(Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board) is essential for international medical graduates aspiring to practice medicine in the UK. It involves two parts, PLAB 1 (written exam) and PLAB 2 (clinical assessment), evaluating candidates’ medical knowledge and clinical skills.

HAAD

(Health Authority Abu Dhabi) Exam, now part of the DOH (Department of Health) system, was formerly used for licensing healthcare professionals in Abu Dhabi. It involved a computer-based exam evaluating candidates’ knowledge and skills pertinent to their healthcare roles.

MOH

(Ministry of Health) Exam, previously administered by HAAD (Health Authority Abu Dhabi), is another licensing exam for healthcare professionals, applicable to certain emirates in the UAE like Sharjah, Ajman, etc. Similar to the DHA exam, it assesses candidates’ professional competence through a computer-based assessment.
